Program Overview
'Happy wedding day? Not necessarily!' Cheng Gui-xian, raised in a single-parent home, has a volatile relationship with his temperamental mother. Following an accident, he travels back in time to his father's era, coinciding with his parents' wedding. Attempting to intervene, he tries to take his father's place, only to discover that even the smallest actions in the past can trigger catastrophic and hilarious reversals in reality. As he attempts to 'correct' the past, reality spirals further out of control.
Highlights
Following a sold-out run last season, this comedic play by writer Hui Chun-bong and director Lo Chi-sun returns to the stage. This production masterfully blends laughter and tears, using the premise of time travel to explore the nuances of family regrets. Audience members are invited to join the protagonist's chaotic journey, questioning whether it is truly possible to undo the past or if some cracks are simply meant to widen.
