The Holy Spirit Seminary Open Day 2026 offers a unique chance for the public to step inside the Holy Spirit Seminary in Wong Chuk Hang and uncover the life of those training for the priesthood. This event is designed to foster a deeper understanding of Catholic theology, church history, and the daily lives of seminarians through interactive and immersive experiences. It is an ideal outing for both those exploring their faith and those interested in local history.
Program
The day is packed with diverse activities suitable for the whole family:
- Morning Prayer Experience (10:00): Kick off the day with a formal 'Morning Prayer,' allowing guests to witness the daily spiritual routine of seminarians and priests.
- Game Booths (10:30–16:15): Enjoy fun, faith-themed games. Collect stamps from various booths to redeem a special souvenir.
- Stage Performances (11:00–12:15 / 14:00–15:30): Enjoy talent showcases and sharing sessions from local schools and groups.
- Exhibitions & Artifact Room: Explore six exhibition spots to learn about the history of the Diocese of Hong Kong. The Diocesan Artifact Room will also be open to visitors (subject to crowd control, with a 60-person limit inside).
In addition, there will be in-depth guided tours, including the 'Seminary Tour' that takes participants into the private residential areas, a 'Diocesan Artifact Room' tour, and 'Theology Experience Classes' led by professors.
Ticketing & Practical Information
The event is free to attend. To ensure a smooth experience and to secure a souvenir, it is highly recommended that you complete the 'Simple Registration' online in advance. Further details regarding the closing mass and registration for specific guided tours will be released on July 1, 2026, via the Seminary’s official social media and website. Registered attendees will receive updates directly via email.
