Highlights
The 'Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In' Movie Set Exhibition stands as the largest exhibition of its kind, designed to showcase the exceptional artistry and creativity of the Hong Kong film industry. Housed within the historic Kowloon Walled City Park, the exhibition reconstructs iconic scenes from the award-winning film, allowing visitors to step back in time and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the long-lost Walled City.
Program
This exhibition meticulously recreates numerous critical film sets, including the nostalgic '7-Kee Bing Sutt' (7-Kee Ice Room), 'Dragon City Barbershop', dental clinic, and various local shops such as grocery stores, tailor shops, bone-setting clinics, fish ball factories, and plastic factories. Every detail has been carefully curated to capture the unique architectural style and daily life of the 1980s Walled City. A highlight of the exhibition is the 'Walled City Rooftop' section, which features a large projection screen displaying the day-and-night cycles of the city, accompanied by custom soundscapes that simulate the roaring engine noise of airplanes passing overhead—a hallmark of life in the area during that era. Furthermore, the exhibition incorporates traditional 'fa pau' (flower plaque) craftsmanship, references to vintage metal security gates, and even repurposed floor tiles from old buildings to honor historical accuracy.
Venue & Access
The exhibition is located within Kowloon Walled City Park. The park is highly accessible via various bus and minibus routes serving the Kowloon City area. Visitors may also reach the site by MTR from nearby stations like Kai Tak or Lok Fu. We recommend that visitors reserve ample time to enjoy this immersive journey through time within the serene park surroundings.
