Highlights

This summer, Drip Music brings an exotic musical adventure specifically for parents and children! This workshop is designed to offer a fun-filled, interactive experience through traditional African music, helping participants strengthen family bonds while exploring new rhythmic cultures.

Program

The "Jazz Crossover Workshop: Parent-Child African Music Experience" is led by the local African music ensemble, ONE Harmony Drumming Factory. Instructors Halen and Cecilia will guide families into the vibrant world of African music. The workshop includes:

  • Instrument Exploration: Hands-on experience with unique African musical instruments, learning about their sounds and construction.
  • Rhythm & Vocals: Learning classic African rhythmic patterns and singing authentic African melodies.
  • Interactive Dance: Mastering basic African dance moves, inspiring creativity and coordination in children through movement.

【Bonus Performance】 Mini Concert Following the workshop on August 9, the team will host a dynamic performance in the Lobby of the Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, allowing participants to witness the energy and power of African music live.

Ticketing

  • Date: Workshop runs from August 8 to 9, 2026; Mini Concert on August 9, 2026.
  • Fees: Free of charge.
  • Registration: Online registration is required for the workshop (starts July 8). The mini-concert does not require registration.
  • Target Audience: Children aged 6-12 and their parents. Each child must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above.
