Program Overview
"Oedipus at Goose Neck Bridge" by You Theatre is a contemporary theatrical production that reimagines the classic Greek tragedy "Oedipus Rex." By blending Greek mythology with Nietzschean philosophy, the randomness of quantum mechanics, and local Hong Kong fortune-telling traditions, the production constructs a "book of fate" relevant to our contemporary era. It poses a fundamental question: in an unknowable universe, can humans truly control their own destiny? The production is a multisensory experience featuring original music, live instrumentalists, and expressive physical movement.
Highlights
