Highlights
Theatre Formula presents the stage play 'Ping Pong Boy' in late 2026, an inspiring and passionate story about youth, dreams, and growth. Set against the backdrop of the table tennis scene, the play delves into the collision between a passionate young player and a former prodigy, as well as current national team members and dedicated seniors. Every fierce smash on the table is not only a display of skill but also a metaphor for the struggle between aspirations and the realities of life. Following highly acclaimed table readings, the creative team has spent a year refining the production to bring it to the main stage. Join us to witness this intense, emotional, and inspiring performance.
Program
As the ball flies across the table, each rhythmic sound echoes the characters' inner insecurities and perseverance. The protagonist navigates the loss of dreams, technical hurdles, and confusion about the future, searching for a path within the spin of the ping pong ball. With the sharp writing of playwright Zou Bing-jun and the theatrical direction of Lo Yi-king, the production seamlessly integrates the tension of a table tennis match with the deep internal struggles of its characters.
Performers
The production features a strong ensemble cast, including Chung Yik-chun, Chan Ting-hin, Chan Tsz-lam, Tsang Wing-shun, and Man Chun-yin. Together, under the meticulous guidance of the creative team, the cast brings the spirit of table tennis and the heartbeat of youth to the stage.
