'The Story - The Musical' is an epic journey that blends music and theatre, exploring the grand narrative of faith. Adapted from 'The Story' with music and orchestration by David Hamilton and narration by Deborah Craig-Claar, the production features English songs paired with Cantonese dialogue. It takes the audience on a cross-temporal voyage, from the dawn of Creation, through the faith of Abraham and the reign of King David, leading to the birth, ministry, death, resurrection, and second coming of Jesus Christ. This performance offers a profound spiritual experience, inviting the audience to discover the love that descends from above.
Performers
The production features a distinguished creative team and cast. Chan Yick-chun serves as the Artistic Director, Producer, and an actor. Ip Hiu-wan directs and writes the script, with choreography by Cheng Yeuk-mei and lighting/sound design by Wong Chit-ming. The ensemble cast includes talented actors such as Cheung Moon-yuen, Chan Kei-mong, Chin Sum-ming, Lau Lai-kuen, Lee Hoi-yan, Yuen Wing-hin, Tsang Lai-ting, and DRIME Hong Kong, coming together to present this soul-stirring musical.
