"Music for the Soul" transcends the boundaries of a traditional concert, transforming the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre into a serene, elegant tea house. Hosted by renowned dongxiao virtuoso Tam Po-shek, this "soulful spa" creates an intimate atmosphere where music meets life dialogue. It is an immersive experience designed to cleanse the urban soul through heartfelt storytelling and a blend of traditional Chinese music, Cantonese melodies, and popular classics.
Program
Originally launched in 1999 as an initiative to showcase the diverse talents of orchestra members, the concert series was curated by Artistic Director Yan Huichang, who identified Tam Po-shek's unique gift for connecting cultural depth with musical healing. Based on the philosophy of "acting in accordance with nature" and "soothing the heart with the sound of the flute," the series has become a signature brand for the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. In celebration of the orchestra's 50th Anniversary, Tam Po-shek returns to stage this classic feast for the heart, using a minimalist "one table, two chairs" setup, complemented by evocative visual projections.

- Priority Offer: Bookings for the 50th Anniversary main season package made on or before July 31, 2026, are eligible for tiered discounts. Discounts of up to 20% apply for bookings of 5 shows or more. Specific school discount codes provide 25% off standard prices.
