The La Salle College Old Boys' Association Music Committee proudly presents the "La Salle College Old Boys' Association Annual Concert 2026". This annual musical extravaganza brings together alumni musicians from various generations to showcase their deep musical mastery and the spirit of La Salle through exceptional performances by the wind band, choir, and orchestra. It serves not only as a reunion for alumni but also as a platform to demonstrate high-caliber musical artistry to the public.
Program
This year's concert features a challenging and artistic repertoire that spans classical and modern styles:
- Frank Ticheli - Blue Shades: A classic in the wind band repertoire, deeply influenced by jazz, with intense rhythms and a vibrant urban feel.
- Chan Kai-Young - A Chrysalis Tale: A work by a contemporary composer that uses delicate musical language to depict the process of transformation and emerging from a chrysalis.
- Yasushi Akutagawa - Triptyque for Strings, 1st movement: A piece that constructs a high-tension sonic space with concise and powerful string writing.
- Igor Stravinsky - The Rite of Spring (excerpts): A revolutionary work in 20th-century music history, challenging the orchestra's technical limits and expressive power through its most stirring sections.

Venue & Access
The event will take place at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall. Located at Edinburgh Place, Central, the venue is easily accessible via the Central MTR station and the Star Ferry Pier.
Ticketing
- Ticket Price: HK$ 300 / 200
- Concessions: Full-time students, seniors aged 60+, people with disabilities and their minders, and CSSA recipients are eligible for concessionary rates (HK$ 180 / 120).
- Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours, including a 15-minute intermission.
