Highlights
The [Tai Chi & Zen] Introductory Class is a mind-body exploration program specifically designed for the busy modern urbanite. We combine the ancient art of Tai Chi with the wisdom of Zen meditation, allowing participants to learn how to find inner peace amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. Tai Chi is not merely a martial art; it is a profound form of physical and mental regulation. Through this introductory series, you will learn how to maintain "stillness in motion," using delicate breathing techniques and physical movements to release accumulated stress and tension, achieving a natural state of harmony between body, mind, and energy.
Program
This course consists of three sessions, personally guided by the experienced mindfulness facilitator Natalie Chan. The curriculum is designed progressively, making it suitable for beginners with no prior experience. During the classes, you will experience:
- Stillness within Motion: Mastering the interplay of hardness and softness in Tai Chi movements, feeling the fluidity of connection between intention and breath.
- Mind-Body Connection: Using breathing techniques and mindfulness practices to enhance body awareness and concentration.
- Relaxation Techniques: Experiencing a state of relaxation and harmony, integrating Zen into daily movements to improve your quality of life.
