Embark on a journey through time and explore the profound depth of Chinese calligraphy and painting. Designed for ages 6 and up, this workshop introduces the evolution of characters and ink techniques through three dedicated sessions.
Program
- Session 1: Exploring Ancient Scripts – Oracle Bone and Seal Script. Discover the origins of Chinese characters, analyze pictographic characteristics, and improve brush and structure techniques.
- Session 2: The Beauty of Flowers and the Modulation of Ink. Using red cotton flowers and lotus as subjects, learn the application of the "Five Inks" (rich, light, dry, wet, scorched) and the art of freehand brushwork.
- Session 3: Free Expression – Splash-Ink Painting. Enter the world of experimental splash-ink art, balancing technique with improvisation to develop a unique personal visual language.
