Program Overview
What happens when the world goes topsy-turvy and the rules of order no longer apply? 'When the World Learns to Walk Backward' invites the audience into an absurd, whimsical parallel universe seen through the eyes of two protagonists, Joshi and Mira. In this reality, dogs meow, shoes bite people, and grandfathers move into doghouses. These bizarre scenarios serve as a profound satire on the unquestioned norms governing our daily lives. Through this staged reading, the creative team aims to provoke the audience to reflect: Who really decides the rules of our world? And when order is inverted, can we still find our true direction in life?
