Program Overview

"Space Fantasy Trip" is a spectacular, family-friendly musical extravaganza presented by the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. The story revolves around an alien named "Fung Lo-to" who intercepts NASA’s Voyager 1 spacecraft and discovers the Voyager Golden Record. In his quest to find the music of J.S. Bach, he travels to Earth and encounters Astrin, a young student rehearsing Bach suites. Their chance meeting leads to an interstellar voyage to Europa, the fourth-largest moon of Jupiter, culminating in a dazzling performance at the "Cosmic Starlight Show."

Featuring a diverse array of artists, including recorder virtuoso and comedian Gabor Kovacs, Theremin artist Miles Brown, mirror ball artist Mei Wai-lei, hula hoop artist Hui Ngau-kwan, and robotic dancer Kazuho Horino. The production is produced, directed, and written by Lai Yin-yan, with set design by Wong Tsz-chun and lighting design by Chan Cheuk-wa, ensuring a top-tier artistic production.
