Overview

Presented by Treasure Chest Theatre, the Australian-based Back Yard Theatre Ensemble (BYTE) brings an immersive workshop entitled 'Writing for the Stage - an approach to play-writing, using stream of consciousness.' BYTE is renowned for creating original, often devised theatre, providing opportunities for local actors to be involved in ensemble productions. With a rich history of touring annually across Australia and internationally, the company is proud to be collaborating with the JAHRMARKTTHEATER BOSTELWIEBECK in Germany and the Terang Theatre Group. This workshop aims to inspire teenagers, guiding them through the 'stream of consciousness' writing technique to develop complex characters and create original works for the stage.
