Program Overview

Huan Theatre Troupe’s 2026 devised theatre production, "Zhi Xi...", opens with a thought-provoking premise: "We weave, we wait, we weave again—this is what relationships are!" The performance leads the audience into a series of unknown intersections, where every collision and interaction seeks to uncover answers that remain hidden in plain sight. Through delicate exploration and metaphorical mending on stage, the play traces the marks of our presence in others' lives and examines the struggles of maintaining connections in the modern age. Is a relationship a mystery, or a gentle trap we are willing to fall into?

The script deftly weaves together four seemingly separate stories that share hidden, complex ties:

• A cheque without an amount;
• A new cat and an existing dog;
• Two girls falling for two boys;
• And the iconic Eason Chan song, "Best Friend," reflecting on the bittersweet nature of relationships.
