Program

This concert explores the contrasting musical aesthetics on either side of the English Channel. Audiences will enjoy a selection of chamber music masterworks, where the performers showcase the lyrical brilliance of the woodwinds against the resonant foundation of the piano. From the flowing, dreamlike harmonies characteristic of French Impressionism to the fresh, pastoral melodies of British composers, the program captures the intimate and emotionally evocative atmosphere of 20th-century European salon music.
