'YE ART THOU' is a featured visual arts exhibition forming part of the 2nd Hong Kong Golden Age Art Festival, themed 'Age with Audacity'. Presented by Art's Option, this exhibition serves as a platform for elderly individuals to express their inner voices and rediscover the joy and meaning in their later years through artistic creation.

Highlights

The exhibition focuses on the theme of 'Food', a medium that evokes warm memories and resonates with people of all ages. Under the professional guidance of ceramicist Manho (from 'Useless Studio'), elderly artists from the HKCCCC Bradbury Home for the Aged have meticulously crafted a series of unique ceramic pieces. These works act as a bridge, allowing the creators to share their personal life stories, childhood memories, and sentiments through the tactile medium of clay.

Creative Team

Curated by the renowned Leung Yee-wo (often known as 'Erhu Grandma'), this project emphasizes the empowerment of the elderly. Her role as the chief curator ensures that the voices and artistic potential of the senior participants remain at the forefront, challenging societal stereotypes about aging.

Located at the L1 Gallery in the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC), the exhibition environment provides a perfect, serene backdrop for these delicate ceramic works.
