Overview

Cactus Drama Company presents the Hong Kong premiere of contemporary British playwright Martin Crimp's "Play House" this September at the Kwai Tsing Theatre Black Box Theatre. This devised theatre production features Ma Ka-wing, Cheung Chun-man, and Wong Long-yin, exploring the brutal truths of intimate relationships through fragmented daily scenes. As a young couple attempts to build a home, the play weaves together snapshots of sex, work, parenting, neighbors, and household chores, exposing the paradox of modern love: the closer we get, the more we vibrate; the more we love, the more we resist.

Highlights

  • Hong Kong Premiere: Experience the sharp, incisive writing of Martin Crimp, whose work offers a searing examination of modern intimacy.
  • Devised Theatre: A collaborative process between the director and actors that responds to the fragility and volatility of contemporary relationships.
