'Eight Elegances' is a brand-new original production by the Hong Kong Dance Company and the Siong Leng Musical Ensemble, presented by the China Merchants Charity Foundation. Inspired by the eight traditional Chinese arts—Zither, Chess, Calligraphy, Painting, Poetry, Incense, Flowers, and Tea—this performance weaves together contemporary theater and traditional aesthetics to offer a profound exploration of oriental beauty. Through the expressive physical language of the dancers and a live, eclectic musical score, the performance translates the spirit of the 'Eight Elegances' into the rhythm of life, inviting audiences to find stillness and balance amidst the hustle and bustle of city life.
