Hong Kong Street Dance Open Championship 2026

Overview

The Hong Kong Street Dance Open Championship 2026, organized by the Hong Kong Street Dance Development Association, is dedicated to promoting and popularizing the local street dance culture. Spanning two days, this major event gathers top-tier dancers and provides a professional platform for competition and cultural exchange. The championship features six categories of one-on-one battle competitions: Hip Hop, Popping, Locking, House, Waacking, and All Style.

Program Highlights

The competition follows a two-stage process: preliminary qualifiers (auditions) and knockout rounds. In the qualifiers, participants will be divided into groups and have 45 seconds each to showcase their individual dance style. The top 16 dancers, as selected by the judges, will advance to the knockout stage to battle for the championship.

All Style Battle Mechanism

The All Style competition is exclusively for Hong Kong permanent residents. Following the top 16 knockout rounds, the remaining 8 dancers will advance to a 25-minute timed scoring final. The final takes place in a "7-on-1" format, with real-time judging to ensure a high-intensity, exciting conclusion to the event.

Participation Details

• Eligibility: Open to individuals aged 6 and above.
• Specific Requirements: The All Style category is restricted to Hong Kong permanent residents. Participants under 18 require a signed declaration from a parent or guardian.
• Regulations: Strict adherence to the rules is required; the use of dangerous props is prohibited. Registration fees are non-refundable.
• Quota: All categories have a capacity limit; early registration is recommended.

Venue & Access

The event will take place at the Multimedia Theatre, HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity (135 Junction Road, Kowloon). Attendees are encouraged to use public transport.
