Presented by Unlock Dancing Plaza, the 'Body Rings' Senior Dance Project is part of the 2026-27 18dART – Shatin Community Performing Arts Project. This initiative is designed specifically for seniors in the Sha Tin district, serving as an exploration of the dialogue between the body and the environment.
Highlights
- From User to Creator: Participants will move beyond their standard roles as 'park users' and become active 'participants' in the arts, discovering the artistic depth of their public surroundings.
- Connecting with Nature: Dance artists will guide participants through Sha Tin Park, Ma On Shan Park, and Hin Tin Playground, encouraging them to observe the environment, record their emotions, and create their own unique dance movements—their personal 'body rings'.
- Beginner-Friendly: No prior dance experience is required. The project aims to help seniors find joy in creation and poetry in daily life through simple movement and observation.

There are eight workshops in total, each lasting approximately two hours. Sessions are held at the following locations:
