Event Overview
"Rocking the Rough" is a profound community walk experience that deeply connects body, time, and environment. Just as mountains exist within the sea and time shapes the stones, the memories and dust of history are layered within the shifting landscapes of our city. Co-organized by Quarryside and Niche, this event blends spatial awareness with physical exploration, inviting participants to revisit the coastline of Quarry Bay and listen to the fragmented stories hidden beneath urban development.
As the second phase of the "Hearing the Sea After" project, this event continues the work of the first phase—which collected community stories and mapped soundscapes—and invites participants to use their bodies as a medium to express the scenes between the mountains and the sea. This is not merely a stroll, but an experimental dialogue between the body and the environment, encouraging participants to re-examine the community landscape and experience new meanings embedded within the shifting tides.
