Highlights

The Quarryside Community Festival 2026 presents the "Tasting Delights" workshop series, inviting the public to explore local food culture and creativity through hands-on cooking and crafting sessions. This series combines baking experiences, traditional skills, and community building, suitable for families and individuals of all ages.

Program

The series features four main themes of interactive workshops:

  • Silver Age Kitchen: Popular Dessert Baking Led by professional instructor Alan Sir, participants will learn to bake classic Taiwanese pineapple cakes, miniature Portuguese egg tarts, and Basque cheesecake. The workshops focus on skill-building and community interaction.

  • Pastry Moments: Traditional Pastry Workshop In collaboration with "Pastry Moments," participants will create traditional tea cakes and mung bean cakes, learning techniques like kneading and stuffing while connecting with local culinary heritage.

  • Intangible Cultural Heritage Sugar Art Workshop Sugar artist Clemen introduces the 600-year-old traditional blowing sugar craft, teaching participants to create unique glass-like sugar flowers using natural "isomalt."

  • Bread Sculpting Workshop & Sharing Session Use dough as a creative medium to sculpt small art pieces, followed by a communal sharing session where participants share stories behind the food.

Venue & Access

The events take place at Quarryside, located at 20 Hoi Shin Road, Quarry Bay.

Ticketing

  • A deposit of HKD 100 is required per participant to confirm the reservation.
  • The deposit will be refunded approximately 6 to 8 weeks after attendance.
  • Participants should arrive 10 minutes before the session starts.
  • Families are welcome (please note age restrictions for specific workshops).
