"Life Classroom – Green Burial, Love Continues" Interactive Exhibition

Overview

Approaching the Chung Yeung Festival, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD), in collaboration with the Pok Oi Hospital Regional Life and Death Education Network and over 30 social welfare organizations, will present Hong Kong's largest-ever life and death education exhibition: "Life Classroom – Green Burial, Love Continues." Held from October 16 to 19, 2026, at Tuen Mun Town Plaza, this event aims to engage the public in contemplating life and end-of-life planning, including green burials, through highly interactive and meaningful activities.

Highlights

At the heart of the exhibition is the "Five Tastes of Life" giant board game, an immersive installation that uses the metaphor of "food" to guide participants through the trials and joys of life. Players will explore the five essential life lessons: Thanking, Forgiving, Apologizing, Loving, and Saying Goodbye. Key features include:

• End-of-Life Market: Featuring diverse social welfare and funeral service organizations providing valuable resources.
• Interactive Experiences: Including the "Life Mosaic" workshop, AI Family Dream Photo Studio, and the "Five-Taste Chef" motion-sensing game.
• Live Performances: Featuring senior K-Pop performances, live bands, and interactive theater exploring critical life choices.
• Registration & Tours: Opportunities to sign up for the Green Burial Central Registry and join guided tours of memorial gardens.
