Exclusive Travelogue: Easy Travel Sketching Workshop

This course invites participants to transform their travel memories into artistic creations. Through relaxed sketching techniques that combine ink pen lines, watercolor washes, and collage elements, students will learn to capture exotic atmospheres—from the sun-drenched landscapes of Southern France to the serene beauty of Kyoto's autumn foliage—and preserve them within a personalized sketchbook. It is as much a creative journey as it is a skill-building course.
Program Introduction
Sketching is one of the most effective ways to record fleeting moments, whether amidst magnificent mountain scenery or quiet street corners. Led by experienced instructor Szeto Chi-ming, participants will benefit from his extensive background in travel and plein air painting. The course covers the entire creative process, from composition to coloring, and is designed to be accessible for beginners. You will learn how to use simple tools such as ink pens, watercolors, colored pencils, and collage to build your own travel diary, crafting tangible fragments of your memories to cherish for years to come. Participants will be notified about required tools and materials during the first session.
About the Instructor
The course is conducted by Mr. Szeto Chi-ming, who will share his years of experience in creative sketching and artistic observation to guide students through the world of picture book creation.

The course fee is HKD 2690. Interested individuals can register via the art-mate platform. Various discounts are available:
- 5% off (95% of price): For those signing up as a pair, returning students of short courses (who have finished two consecutive terms and are enrolling in the next), current Hong Kong Arts Centre Art Ambassadors, and alumni of Hong Kong Art School academic programs.
