The Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival 2026 returns with an upgraded format, extended for the first time to a 13-day celebration from June 19 to July 1. This premier event brings together over 220 elite teams from 16 countries and regions to compete in Victoria Harbour for the title of the ultimate "Dragon King."
Highlights
- Competitive Racing: Experience the thrill of top-tier dragon boat races. The main competition will be broadcast live on RTHK TV 31 on June 27 and 28.
- Dragon Boat Food Street: Located along the Avenue of Stars, this area offers a variety of festive snacks and local delicacies to enjoy while taking in the harbor views.
- Beer Garden: Enjoy refreshing beer and live stage performances against the backdrop of the iconic Victoria Harbour skyline.
- Photo Spots: Key attractions include a 22-meter traditional wooden dragon boat, a Minions-themed photo area, a giant Coca-Cola® bottle, and the Sun Life Co-creation Station.
- Leisure Zone: Visit the Salisbury Garden to explore intangible cultural heritage workshops such as sugar blowing, Zongzi (sticky rice dumpling) making, and fishing net weaving, or try the virtual reality (VR) dragon boat paddling challenge.
