This tour focuses on the iconic Tai Hang area, providing a unique opportunity to witness and learn about the "Mid-Autumn Festival: Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance," a recognized national intangible cultural heritage.
Program
Presented by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office, this guided tour aims to introduce various ICH projects in Tai Hang. Participants will delve into the history and cultural significance of the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance, alongside other traditional practices such as historic village architecture restoration techniques, the Kwun Yum Treasury Opening ritual, tea kueh making skills, Fai Dai (fabric belt) weaving, and traditional Hakka cuisine. This tour offers a profound educational experience that connects participants with the heritage of Hong Kong.

Venue & Access
The tour takes place in the Tai Hang area of Wan Chai District. Successful applicants will be notified of the exact meeting and dispersal points via email on or before May 26. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable outdoor clothing and sports shoes, and to bring their own drinking water, rain gear, and mosquito repellent.
