With a long history, Sai Kung retains a unique blend of fishing village charm and Hakka rural culture. This tour focuses on several significant intangible cultural heritage elements, including:
- Hakka Unicorn Dance in Hang Hau, Sai Kung: A folkloric performance rich in tradition.
- Cha Kway Making Techniques: Learn the craftsmanship behind these traditional Hakka snacks.
- Grey Water Zong Making Techniques: Discover the process of making this unique traditional food.
- Tin Hau Festival in Sai Kung: Gain insights into local festive customs.
Event Details
The tour takes place on June 28, 2026, with morning and afternoon sessions available. Led by professional guide Mr. Ng Man-ching, participants will visit the sites and experience the beauty of Hakka cultural heritage firsthand.
Registration Information
This activity is free of charge, but prior online registration is required. As spots are limited, a public drawing will be held in case of over-subscription. Successful applicants will be notified regarding meeting points and details. Participants are advised to prepare their own drinking water and mosquito repellent, wear comfortable clothing, and maintain quiet during the visit to respect local residents.
