Program
"Pebble and Egg" is a solo exhibition by artist Polly Lo that investigates the tension between two contrasting substances: pebbles and eggs. These materials serve as metaphors for the complexities of our existence. Lo approaches her practice through the lens of daily life, aiming to uncover deep significance in the mundane through a diverse range of artistic mediums.
Highlights
The exhibition features a series of multimedia works, utilizing techniques such as painting, molding, gel casting, bronze casting, and printing. Curatorial consultant Ivy Ma notes that Lo's work highlights the plasticity of materials, weaving different media into a cohesive exploration of urban landscapes. The exhibition finds its origin in the artist's childhood photograph, where she held an egg and a stone, transforming these personal memories into a thoughtful, concept-driven display.
