City Contemporary Dance Festival 2026: Festival Pass

Highlights

The City Contemporary Dance Festival (CCDF), presented by the City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC), is a premier gathering of the contemporary dance community in Asia. The 2026 edition is scheduled to take place from October 23 to October 31, 2026, at the East Kowloon Cultural Centre. To encourage deeper engagement, the festival has introduced two types of "Festival Passes," allowing dance enthusiasts to experience a wide array of world-class performances, professional training showcases, and exchange activities at an exceptional value.

Program

The festival program is designed to foster artistic dialogue across regions. Pass holders will have access to a diverse range of artistic offerings, including:

• Opening Performances: Highlighting works such as "Maybe Beckett," "Why Shiraz," and "Kylián & Sang Jijia," showcasing the breadth and depth of contemporary dance.
• HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform: A dynamic showcase of contemporary dance creations from across East Asia, serving as a hub for regional artistic discourse.
• Talent Training: Featuring a presentation of the National Arts Fund 2026 Arts Talent Training Project ("Contemporary Dance Creation Talent Training").
• Professional Exchange: Including round-table discussions and project pitching sessions, providing unique opportunities to engage with artists and understand their creative processes.

Ticketing

Two types of festival passes are available to cater to different levels of participation:

1. CCDF Pass (HKD $1,600): This pass provides full access to a total of nine programs, including the opening performances, the talent training showcase, and all "HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform" programs.
2. Hotpot Pass (HKD $1,200): Focused on the "HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform," this pass also includes "Kylián & Sang Jijia," the talent training showcase, as well as access to the round-table discussions and project pitching sessions.

Venue & Access

The festival will be hosted primarily at the East Kowloon Cultural Centre. Located in the heart of Ngau Tau Kok, this state-of-the-art facility is a prominent new cultural landmark in Hong Kong.
