Immersive Wheel Throwing Workshop (Beginner)

Overview

The "Immersive Wheel Throwing Workshop (Beginner)" is a specially curated ceramic arts course presented by the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Wheel throwing is more than just a technique for crafting pottery; it serves as a unique form of "immersive" training for the body and mind. Through the rhythmic interaction with the pottery wheel, students can practice self-healing and experience a profound sense of peace and concentration.

Program Highlights

This workshop begins with foundational knowledge of clay. Students will engage in clay experiments and learn to develop ceramic forms suited to their individual styles. The core of the course lies in the coordination of "body, mind, and intent." Under the guidance of instructor Lee Tsz-leung, students will master the basics of wheel throwing in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy the limitless fun of shaping clay with their own hands.
