Hosted by the design collective Blind by JW and led by instructor Lau Yuen-ting, the "Weaving On-the-Go - Phone Bag Workshop" is an interactive creative experience. This workshop bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern style, allowing participants to explore the art of weaving in a relaxed environment and create a unique, personalized fashion accessory.

Program

In this hands-on session, participants will learn simplified traditional weaving techniques. By selecting from a variety of colorful straps and cords, you will design and weave your very own cross-body phone bag. The final product is not only stylish but also functional, making it a perfect companion for your daily outings.

Venue & Access

• Venue: 3D-3E Exhibition Hall, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC)
• Access: It is recommended to travel by MTR to Wan Chai Station or Exhibition Centre Station, followed by a short walk to the HKCEC.

Ticketing

• Fee: HKD 100 (Deposit).
• Important Notes:
  1. Participants must attend on time. The deposit will be fully refunded within 6 to 8 weeks after the activity (refund time depends on the bank).
  2. If a participant fails to attend, the deposit will not be refunded.
  3. Age restriction: Suitable for ages 8 and above.
  4. Each email address is limited to one DesignInspire 2026 workshop registration.
  5. Important: Participants must purchase tickets via art-mate and ensure they have registered for entry on the DesignInspire 2026 website to gain access to the venue.
  6. If a participant has not arrived 15 minutes after the start of the workshop, the slot will be released to walk-in attendees, and no refund will be provided.
